Bill and Lynne Gray Foundation’s $2.2m donation to SMGH to fully fund a MRI scanner

We are pleased to share that our CEO Bill Gray’s charitable organization, Bill and Lynne Gray Foundation has donated $2.2 million to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation (SMGH Foundation). This donation has fully funded a much-needed Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner, improving the hospital’s diagnostic capabilities and patient care.

Bill Gray believes in stepping up when our community needs us. This recent donation will help the hospital bring in a new MRI scanner to help in early detection, staging, and treatment of various conditions. It will help reduce wait times, improve access to healthcare, benefiting the Strathroy-Caradoc community and beyond.

In recognition of this contribution, the Diagnostic Imaging Department at SMGH will be renamed as The Bill & Lynne Gray, L.H. Gray & Son Limited Diagnostic Imaging Department. We are deeply honoured for this recognition.

Here’s what SMGH Foundation’s CEO Susan McLean had to say about it:

“We are extremely grateful for the ongoing generosity of and support from Bill and Lynne Gray who have continued to invest in the community where their business and employees reside. We look forward to unveiling the newly named Diagnostic Imaging Department in their honour.”
